High precision, long term stable humidity measurement

The relative humidity plays a decisive role in many industrial applications and quality assurance activities. In the industrial scenario, the performance requirements for a hygrometer are very high in terms of measuring accuracy, long term stability and overall features. Often special sensors are required suiting to the application.

The portable devices of the series HM 309 were developed for these criteria: The high quality and robust devices are fitted with capacitive type humidity sensor and offer an outstanding measuring accuracy of upto 1 % rH.

The external sensing element is plug-in type and interchangeable. Besides the standard sensor with 2 % measuring accuracy, special sensors are also available for a variety of special applications, for example, pressure resistant dew point sensor for pneumatics, different bulk material sensors or stationery mounted sensors. For special applications and also customer specific applications, special sensors can be produced to practically cover all application areas.

Besides the basic equipment characteristics, the device offers a precise dew point display upto –60°C and also display of calculated value of absolute humidity. With the help of integrated USB-port, simple connection to PC for data recording is possible. The included software allows graphic representation of measurement process in the form of a curve and also calculation of all parameters of the hx-diagram.

A special feature is the provision to calibrate the device.   With the help of humidity reference cells, which are available as accessories, the user can himself check the accuracy or calibrate the humidity measuring element.  Hence, it is no more necessary that the device should be sent back to the factory for calibration purposes.
