Innovative Humidity module for automotive applications
Off late, humidity measurement has found entry into many mass-produced items like ventilation devices, household appliances and automotive applications. Normally for such products, a fully integrated and calibrated sub-system is required which can result into an attractive system price with a standard calibrated interface.
The HYGROSENS humidity module combines most modern thin film sensor technology with flexible signal processing and advantages of an ASIC.
The high quality, capacitive humidity sensor guarantees highest measuring accuracy, drift stability and weather resistance with an outstanding long-term stability.
The used ASIC calibrates the dispersion of sensor and corrects its linearity and temperature drift. Practically all common interfaces like analog output, SPI and I2C Bus are provided at the output.
Specially for automotive applications, an ASIC has been developed with LIN-interface, which is also certified for the required temperature range of -50 to 150°C.
Besides standard models for atmospheric measurements, other designs for measurement of pressure dew point can also be produced. Applications are, for example, pneumatic brake systems for commercial vehicles.
Thanks to the integrated ASIC technology, these innovative humidity modules are very attractive due to their compact size, high precision and finally an optimum price performance ratio.
