Safety for compressed air supply

If compressed air is not dried before feeding it into the compressed air network, considerable amount of condensate gets accumulated in the air line network and causes malfunctioning of valves, pneumatic components and finally leads to stalling of production activity.

In the application of an adsorption dryer, a considerable amount of power must be applied for the drying process. Since the dryer is designed for full load, much energy is wasted if the dryer works on partial load. This can be avoided by regulation of dew point.

The stationery pressure dew point instrument of AIRSECURE series ECO is a dryness controller as well as  an alarming device. The device controls the valves of dryers depending upon the measured pressure dew point value, in such a way that on exceeding the set regulation value, the dryer columns are switched on and a drying cycle in initiated.

In addition, the regulator has a two stage alarm system: an alarm signal is for early warning and a further contact is meant for the signal of main alarm. The alarm is communicated through warning light and by producing an acoustic signal at the location.  An additional analog output enables the integration of measured pressure dew point value to higher level systems. Through the integrated RS232-port, connection is possible to a PC based monitoring system. The measurements are represented in a clear graphical form and errors in the plant or at the dryer are immediately detected. An USB-port or a WEB-server is optionally available for remote access to the measured values.

For measurement of pressure dew point, high quality stainless steel sensing elements are used, which are very well proven for many years in the medical pressure dew point measuring systems from the same manufacturer and also guarantees outstanding long term stability. The maintenance requirements are therefore bare minimum.
