Precise sound emission measurement as per legal regulations

Human beings are exposed to various types of stress factors in his living environment. In the recent years, people are troubled by the increasing noise pollution level - be it the work environment, streets, aircraft noise or private areas.

The feel of noise is of course subjective - for a visitor of disco, it is a special experience and for a neighbour on the same road, it is a disturbing element. Moreover, the choice of hearing frequency is also age dependent.

The HYGROSENS measuring instrument has evaluation filters to comply with the legal regulations as per DIN IEC 651, which analyses the sound as per the human hearing characteristics and also broadband. By an additional evaluation filter, the temporary impact of sound emission can be averaged out through integrated measurements. Because of this, the measuring range is right from 30 to 130 db spread over 6 bands, which covers the sound measurement of a PC-fan to the airport sound level for universal applications. The other features are also extensive: The big, illuminated digital display is supplemented by an analog, quick view Bar-graph display. Data recording  in EXCEL compatible format is also possible on the PC through the standard serial interface, with which the device also addresses the professional requirements of consultants.
